MD02 DESIGN - LANDSCAPE VECTORS AND SCALING

MD02 GROUPING

MD03 DESIGN - LANDSCAPE VECTORS AND SCALING

Ignacio Toribio ( external reference architects) showed us how, in some of their projects, they define single units and then they start playing with them. They research on the place, the programs and the interferences between both of them, getting the connection between the natural geometry and the artificial geometry. For them, it is important to work in the place from a huge scale for a better understanding of an intelligent, cultural and spiritual way. There are several latent laws in the place, in the soil, in the environment, all of them are marking the path of the project, the real lines.

Geometry is the base of the transformation.

MD01 TECHNIQUES - ON MODELLING

Pablo Rica told us how new technologies are applied in architecture. Laser cutters and 3D printers not only used for models but also for making specials building pieces, for example modern stone stereotomy. Also high precision robotic systems used in construction such as brick walls. For those reasons computerizing is gaining significance in architecture.

MD01 DESIGN - ARCHITECTURE AS A MATTER OF GEOMETRY... AND MATTER

Beatriz Matos y Alberto Martínez del Castillo explained us the relationship between their projects and geometry and how they try to take advantage of all the possibilities that the geometry offers in every project. They research on new ways of architecture by playing with geometry. By researching new solutions we find the way of doing new architecture...

''Geometry: it could be understood as a shape that was living in a given place''...

MD01 ANALYSIS - INFORMED MATTER

MD01 MATTER AND GEOMETRY

We did inaugurate the presential term of the TRIM in Madrid, with the first two Analyasis lectures by Ignacio Borrego and the guest lecturers on Design Beatriz Matos and Alberto Martínez del Castillo.

Matter and Geometry. From a non-scalar position, we need to understand the capacity of matter to be organized according to geometric structures. We will analyze the properties and qualities of the matter with which we are working and propose its organizational systems in order to manipulate their dense condition.
